Why do you love music?
I love music because it is a get away for me. While I’m working, nothing else matters in the moment. Music has also allowed me to write my own story, break generational curses, and help to support my family.
What makes you different as a music artist?
What makes me different is the fact that I am not only an audio engineer but also a music producer. This separates me from a lot of people. When people come to me for work, it’s like a ‘one stop shop‘. I can work with any genre of music and can adapt to any environment. Being dedicated to the game and a hard worker, I have been given multiple life-changing opportunities. I have been blessed to work alongside some of the biggest artists in the engineering and producing world.
Where do you see yourself in five years?
So a little fun fact about myself is that I am a spiritual person. I believe that words have power. So, I am manifesting that in five years, I WILL be one of the biggest producers and engineers in the music, tv, and film industry. I will start a label that seeks out new artists. I want to be able to allow upcoming artists to grow and be a helping hand that will get them to the next level. We all gotta eat!
What do you bring to the music world?
My sound is different. I go against the grain, which challenges artists to get out of their comfort zone and try new things. I’m pretty sure, some of these big artists and producers, stepped out on faith and decided to try something new, which later became someone’s favorite song! Einstein once said, “Insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results.” Well, it’s the same for music. Being unique and trying new sounds is how I try to leave my signature in the industry.
What do you want to be remembered by?
I want to be remembered as someone always willing to help those in need. The guy who made great music. The guy not only became successful enough to take care of his family but also gave back to the community.
Why do you create?
I create for one reason… To give the world and its people great music that they didn’t know they were missing in their life.
What do you want to accomplish in life?
A goal that I have for myself is to be able to leave my unique signature and mark within the entertainment industry. I want to leave a legacy that my family and future generations can keep alive. I often think about starting different programs and school facilities that give back to the community. My programs will give underprivileged kids opportunities that I didn’t have, and hopefully be a beam of light even if it’s just one child.
What are your most memorable accomplishments to date and why?
I would have to say producing the song Back It Up for Trap Beckham feat FloMilli and then getting the song placed in a Pizza Hut commercial. Seeing something on TV I produced was a big thing for me and having my friends and family hit me up about it was super dope.
I’ve worked with a lot of artists and producers like Jeremih, Trey Songz, Bia, Sheck Wes, Danileigh, DaInternz, MurdaBeatz, TMinus to name a few. That made working on music fun and every step along my path worth it.
