From New York to the Spotlight: Antonio Liranzo Talks Dance, Dreams, and His “Hot Gay Summer”

Antonio Liranzo has always known he belonged on stage. Born and raised in New York, Antonio’s journey from a kid idolizing Britney Spears to an up-and-coming force in the music scene is proof that dreams—when mixed with a little grit and a lot of passion—really can come true. With a new mini EP, “Hot Gay Summer,” making waves and a highly anticipated project, “Stardust,” on the horizon, Antonio sat down to talk about his roots, his creative process, and what’s next.

Let’s start from the beginning. How did your love for performing start?

“I’ve always wanted to be a performer. Growing up in New York, I was surrounded by energy and creativity. I really fell in love with dance first. That was my entry point—just moving, feeling the music, expressing myself through movement. And then, as I got older, that passion sort of transformed into the music scene.”

You’ve mentioned Britney Spears as a big influence. What was it about her that inspired you?

“Oh, absolutely—Britney was everything! Watching her perform, seeing how she owned the stage, it made me want to be up there too. She made it look like magic, but you could also tell she worked hard. That really stuck with me. Idolizing her when I was a kid helped transform my dream from just dancing to making music and performing.”

How did you make that leap from loving dance to writing and creating music?

“It felt natural, honestly. Dance and music go hand-in-hand for me. Eventually I wanted to do more than just move to other people’s songs—I wanted to create my own. That’s where writing came in. I love creating music, especially writing lyrics. It’s a way to put my own story and emotions out there.”

You’re really active on Instagram, promoting your projects and music. Can you talk about your approach to sharing and connecting with your audience?

“Instagram is my main platform right now. It’s such a direct way to reach people, share my music, and build hype around upcoming projects. For the mini EP, ‘Hot Gay Summer,’ I’m really trying to push the hashtag and the song itself. It’s more than just promoting—it’s about creating a vibe, a community around the music.”

Speaking of new music, what can you tell us about your upcoming project, ‘Stardust’?

“I’m so excited for ‘Stardust’—it’s debuting in August. I can’t give away too much yet, but it’s a project that means a lot to me. It’s a little different from ‘Hot Gay Summer,’ but still very much me. I think people are going to love it.”

What’s next for you? Any other dreams or goals on the horizon?

“Right now, I’m focused on promoting all my music and the projects I have lined up. I want to keep growing, keep connecting, and keep creating. There’s always more to come!”
