Exclusive interview with NC artist Chris Capture: Exploring his Creative Process and Inspirations

Exclusive Interview with Emerging NC artist Chris Capture

Today, we’re joined with amazing artist/creative “Chris Capture”, who’s been making massive waves across Greensboro, NC with his unique sound. We’d like to dive into some questions that fans have unanswered and would love to know more about.

1.) Q: What is your name and what city do you rep?

My name is Chris Capture, and I am representing Greensboro, NC

2.) Q: What’s your most memorable moment this year?

My most memorable moment of this year truthfully was a special setback I encountered midway through this year involving my personal life clashing with the musical side to really make me focus, and double down with this craft.

3.) Q: What’s the meaning behind your latest track and its title?

My latest record is titled “Madlib Taught Us!” I named the record this not only to pay homage in the direction of one of my favorite beat smiths Madlib, but to draw parallel between the similarities that we share in our approach to music. Oh, and the sample should sound very familiar to those that are fans of his work 🙂

4.) Q: Any upcoming projects? That you can speak on…

YES! I have an upcoming project on the way titled “Watch God’s Hand” , my second length effort with no official release date as of yet although it is a most ambitious step up from my previous “The PIZZAS!” EP released in 2021.

5.) Q: What goals would you like to accomplish in the coming year?

World domination.

6.) Q: If you could collaborate with any artist, who would that be?

The Artists I would like to collaborate with would of course be the aforementioned Madlib,The Alchemist,Andre 3000, and MC Ride. If we can count the deceased then I will add Prince, Ol Dirty Bastard, Micheal Jackson, MF DOOM, and Bob Marley .Also in addition to those talents there is a selection of more artists that I would love to work with across all genres because I know I forgot some artists.

7.) Q: At the end of the day, all artists have something that drives them. What’s your daily motivation?

My passion to create honestly. Stepping into the recording booth is very therapeutic in a way, and I say that without trying to sound corny although that’s how it feels to me. I am not an expressive individual outside of my art so my music serves as a medium to who I am.

8.) Q: When did you realize you were going to make music professionally?

I realized I was going to make music professionally when I realized my love for making music because as they say if you’re doing what you love for a living you are never really working. Or I think that is how the saying goes.

9:) Any last words for the readers?

As far as last words…. For those that stumbled across my rambling I thank you for reading it if you’ve made it this far. Also remain safe, and healthy plus remember to give thanks to the creator(if you believe in one) whenever you can. One more thing I almost forgot: use soap with hot water, and PRAISE PIZZA 🙂

Thank you again “Chris Capture”, for taking the time to sit down with us. We appreciate the dedication to your craft and hope you continue to strive!
