Exclusive Interview: Terrell Fure'

What is your name and what city do you rep?

My name is Terrell Fure’ and the cities I rep Is Long Island, Queens, and Brooklyn NY.

Tell us about your latest releases, what inspired you to create them?

My latest releases are “Yuh Vagina Good” and “Ole Dogg”. “Yuh Vagina Good” was inspired by dealing with nothing but baddie’s with good pum pum of course lol. Also by dealing with some baddie’s that had a foul odor coming from their vagina.🤢 Lol So I’m actually biggin up females who have a healthy smell good vagina and who take care of their hygiene. Seems like now some women care more about how they look on the outside than the inside. So I thought it was a good idea to promote that message to women. The song “Ole Dogg” other than me being a ladies man lol….was inspired by Beenie Man’s “Old Dogg” song, and Bounty Killers “Stucky” song. They were 2 classic dancehall reggae songs that I love by two legendary dancehall reggae artist that I look up to. I wanted to give the people the feeling again of how people felt when those two songs first came out. Dancehall was nice!🔥🔥🔥I know we can’t get those days back but at least I can give people that good vibe and feeling those songs gave me which would show them what good music is supposed to sound and feel like. It’s important to pass on that vibe so future generations don’t lose it and the music doesn’t lose its identity.

What is unique about you and your music?

What’s unique about me is that I’m not from Jamaica, so I don’t have your typical Jamaican swag. I’m American, I’m a Foundational Black American (FBA). What’s also unique about me is my distinctive voice. What’s unique about my music is the topics I speak on and my versatility. In some songs you may hear me rap or hold a note.

What shaped your music?

What shaped my music is growing up poor, having to grow up fast, seeing too much as a child, and having adult experiences as a child. Also wanting to stand out amoungst the rest. Wanting to be different.

When did you realize you were going to make music professionally?

I always knew but I really realized I was going to make music professionally a few years back when the ancestors came in my dream and whispered “Do your music”.

What type of music do you listen to?

I listen to Reggae/HipHop/pop mostly but there are times where you’ll catch me listening to other genres.

What inspires you to write music?

I might go through something that might inspire me to write, I might see something that might inspire me to write, I might listen to other artist which can inspire me to write, I have dreams about new songs that inspire me to wake up and write. So how I get inspiration to write music is unpredictable.

What do you do when you don’t do music (creative or otherwise) and that you are passionate about?

When I’m not doing music I’m doing photography or I’m cooking lol..Those are the two other things I’m passionate about.

Happiness to you is…

Happiness to me is Health, wealth, doing what you love to do, having a peace of mind, and traveling whenever and wherever you want.

What do you wish you were told when you first started making music that you think would help artists just starting out?

I wish I was told the business part of music when I first started. The business side is what artist starting out need to learn and focus on more. Your talent ain’t going nowhere.

Tell us about your upcoming projects…

I’m working with some artist on some new material. I’d rather not say who it is because it would ruin the surprise. I’m all about anticipation sir! Lol…In my “Coming To America” King Jaffe Joffers voice “Let them WAIT”
