What is your name and what city do you rep?
NASCAR RAXX representing the city of Pittsburgh.
Tell us about your latest releases, what inspired you to create them?
I dropped my latest release “Pressure” on 3/17/22, it’s about people who aren’t really who they say they are or what they’re about. I also dropped my single “Skrrt” on 8/22/21, it’s about how I’ve had so many people switch up on me as if they didn’t want anything to do with me (not enough real in this world that feels real).
What is unique about you and your music?
The most unique thing about myself and my music is that I am not one dimensional. I rap, I sing, I can make a melody. I’m versatile and I like to switch it up every now and then.
What shaped your music?
My music is shaped based off what I see or feel at that time and the lyrics are usually about how I want to make it better and always wanting to achieve higher.
When did you realize you were going to make music professionally?
I dropped my first mixtape “It’s just a mixtape” on SoundCloud in 2016 and sold every copy, I went by “ARAX” at that time. At my first show I performed that mixtape and people at the show couldn’t believe that it was my first time performing, the DJ even approached me asking me if that was really my first show because I seemed experienced and comfortable on stage, it was that moment and that feeling when I realized that I wanted to start doing music professionally.
What type of music do you listen to?
I enjoy a different variety of music; I can pretty much listen to anything. It all just depends on what type of mood I’m in but of course my go-to is usually hip-hop/rap.
What inspires you to write music?
I enjoy writing music because I can turn my feelings good or bad into something dope, something anyone can vibe to and that’s what really inspires me.
What do you do when you don’t do music (creative or otherwise) and that you are passionate about?
Music is always on the top of my priority list, it’s what I enjoy the most but when I’m not writing music I’m usually working, streaming my video game, hooping, or hanging with friends & family I’m pretty laid back. I am 100% passionate about being successful and taking care of family and friends that truly have my back.

Being surrounded by real genuine love and support by the people I care about most is what brings me the most happiness. It encourages me to keep going no matter what.
What do you wish you were told when you first started making music that you think would help artists just starting out?
If I had to give two important tips to anyone first starting out that no one told me is first, “if you have an idea, write it down, don’t over think it, just record it and put it out” secondly “people will criticize you, knock you down, tell you that you’re not good enough or maybe won’t even show any type of support, don’t let that discourage you. Keep pushing”.
Tell us about your upcoming projects…
I’ve been working on an EP the last few months; I’m putting some final touches on it with my main focus being the quality of it. I can’t wait for everyone to hear the finished product! If you like what you’ve heard so far, you’re in for so much more.
