Tell us about your latest releases, what inspired you to create them?
I just started a mixtape series BREAK IT UP TO THIS and released two strains off it RUNTZ & GELATO both on all platforms I was inspired to create those because one of my homies asked me to get on a smoker’s series but I don’t smoke so I’m not going get on a song about smoking but then I figured I could put out something for the smokers to vibe to while getting ready to get get right
What is unique about you and your music?
.I’m not boxed in I don’t just stay to one sound I never been scared to experiment I fuck wit drill boom bap trap whatever if the vibe is right I just recently did a track wit a pop sound
What shaped your music?
My life the shit I went through shit I’m currently going through I don’t create fiction or tell stories that I didn’t live
When did you realize you were going to make music professionally?
You know growing up I always wanted to be a artist but then running the streets and making some real money I kind of put “ GETTIN ON” to the back like I just made music because it was what I did but my pops passed away and he was the reason I started doing music he was my biggest my biggest support in my career so originally it was my distraction to be writing and recording how I was but then I started to get hot again so I decided to get back serious and put 100% into it and make it my career like I wanted to when I was younger, I legitimize my label and went all in
What type of music do you listen to?
I listen to all music except heavy metal! Nothing against it I just can’t get into it but I don’t discriminate if it got a vibe to it I’m a turn it up
What inspires you to write music?
EVERYTHING!! I be in conversation wit the Mail man and something they say make me start thinking of bars In my head I don’t know some time I think I’m going to far wit it lol
What do you do when you don’t do music (creative or otherwise) and that you are passionate about?
I’m never not doing music this is full time but if I’m not creating it I’m promoting and or marketing it and since learning the ins and outs of marketing and promoting I started to enjoy that side of the business so when I’m not on something for my project I’m working on something for one of the artist on GROUND OF BOSSES
Happiness to you is…
knowing what I’m doing is noticed and weather it made you dance or motivated you to go to the gym or let you you’re not the only person dealing with something! When people hit me about a song I made I feel good because music is a universal language you won’t find to many people who don’t like music if any.
What do you wish you were told when you first started making music that you think would help artists just starting out?
Nothing I was told but something me and myw engineer say to eachother “there’s no rules” and I feel like when you create with that in mind you start to create off of instinct not off of what you think people want to hear I tell everybody “be you in your music ”
Tell us about your upcoming projects…
I’m getting ready to drop my second full length album “MISTER RICHARD PORTER” on November 25th I titled it that because of some similarities with the paid in full version of him Lol and Key2lyph is ACE! We got ACE & MITCH Dropping March 2023? But not before I release The 6th and final chapter of my FRIDAY THE 13th series, dropping January 13th 2023 produced by CNR JAXX
