What is your name and what city do you rep?
My name is GenoDa1 and im reppin’ Homestead Florida which is South Miami Dade County but i also rep Broward county because i moved there when i was 16. So basically South Florida.
Tell us about your latest releases, what inspired you to create them?
My latest project “3am sessions” was inspired by a breakup i was going through that really messed me up so i used that project to express the anger, confusion, sadness and regret i was going through. My most recent song “This Isn’t New 2 You” was inspired by a relationship i was in after the break up. I rushed into a new relationship thinking it was going to fix how i was feeling but in all honesty it didn’t so in the song im explaining to the girl that I know we’ve been in this situation before but this time it’s different knowing deep inside im lying and just wasting her time.
What is unique about you and your music?
That i have no specific sound. You really don’t know what to expect from me. Every song or project i work on is guaranteed to have new flows, lyrics, stories and hooks. I hate when my music sounds the same.
What shaped your music?
Really in all honesty pain shaped my music. Pain made me isolate myself and really just focus on my craft.
When did you realize you were going to make music professionally?
Maybe around 2014 or 2015 before that i was just ghost writing and song writing for other artists. I was originally a basketball player so I started music late in life so i didn’t start rapping till after I graduated from high school.
What type of music do you listen to?
All genres really. But mainly HipHop, R&B, Pop and rock. I just admire all types of music.
What inspires you to write music?
All the stuff ive been through. See even before music when i was just a basketball player i even wrote music but i just wasn’t sure what i wanted to really do. But what i go through and see everyday inspires me to write.
What do you do when you don’t do music (creative or otherwise) and that you are passionate about?
Im very passionate about songwriting for other artists and engineering since i record my own stuff. But writing for other people really improves my writing for my music and its fun to get out of my head and write for someone and bring their ideas to life.

What do you wish you were told when you first started making music that you think would help artists just starting out?
How expensive music can be hahaha. Not only does it take a lot of work but its a very expensive career to chase until you actually start making money.
Tell us about your upcoming projects…
Dont want to say too much but the project name is going to be called “Nobody Likes me and thats ok” kinda self explanatory. Im currently about 60 percent done.
