Tell us about your latest releases, what inspired you to create them Frqnzy?
FRQNZY: “4 The World as a duo and as for solo, I released My album Pure on my kids birthday,they are no longer here unfortunately. But i promised when they were in mommy’s belly that i’ll release it on their birthday and i did! It was the 1st album I put out officially on dsps. It’s a project from my soul to the listeners who’ve been through pain, we are living in unique times, police are killing us, we killing us, truths about the world they ain’t telling us being revealed. It’s an exciting time. It’s a project to the collective conscience community as well as our communities and culture of hip-hop. Pure is not just a classic album that will season well over time, its music with a message. But a decade has passed since I released a project. I have an EP I’m about to release with major artists, legends even that’s about to surface on dsps. Bipolar Love is a duo album we are about to drop as “2DFRNT” are official group name we are exclusively telling the world on yall platform!”

What about you Hailstackz, Any new solo project?
“I just dropped Metamorphosis!!! on all dsps. Go get that! This album is about me and my evolving stages becoming a better version of ME. Self love, recignoizing fakes for fake and real for real. As I said on Tragic. “It gets real and it only gets real.” To know me , you have to listen to my music. Pain is a part of the LOVE cycle. That is what you’ll get from this album.”
What is unique about Frqnzy?
“I’m diverse and pleasing to hear. You can listen to my catalogue without cringing, or feeling guilty, preached to, or judged. I connect with my fans cause I am them! I am YOU.
Lyrically I’m gifted. Sonically there isn’t a genre I can’t conquer. I have at least 380+ songs I’m anxious to release right now in different Genres! But strategically not the move.My team says. I feel like I found myself with Pure.It wasn’t until last year I became FRQNZY. He’s positive, real, the the divine vulnerable honest version MALCOLM just emotionally and spiritually just wasn’t.”
What is unique about Hailstackz?
HAILSTACKZ: “I channel all my emotions into my words. I let them flow. I don’t force it.
I focus on cadences switches and taking listeners on a rollercoaster with my voice, giving them what they least expect when they think they are expecting the unexpected. You know Scorpio vibes into the music (laughs) But forreal tho, I am my music my music is me. To know me is to know my music. It’s all there. I put it all in the music.”
What shaped your music?
FRQNZY: “Losing everyone i loved, my dad first then my mother was murdered. My kids passed away, my friends passed away, covid or killed or in car accidents. Recently my aunt passed and she believed in me ALOT she made sure to tell me all the time fentanyl laced weed got her. My adversity and pain shaped my music. Knowing I have a platform and voice I have a responsibility to these kids and this generation, is what shapes my music every day.”
HAILSTACKZ: “Simple, everyone not believing, fueld me to be everything they thought I’d never be.”
When did you realize you were going to make music professionally?
FRQNZY: “At 13 when I lost my father. I felt the obligation to bring some type of hope, and inspiration to my brothers around me, being a light in a dark time can really ease away some of the pain and motivate a broken soul . Crying won’t bring him back but keeping his light , energy and everything GREAT that man through my music through me is what keeps HIM alive. It’s what keeps mom alive and everyone else, they live through me everything yall love about me is THEM. That alone is a joy yall wont even begin to understand.”
HAILSTACKZ: “Three years ago. But honestly after my heartbreak with … i won’t say her name, but this individual i spoke a lot about on my album so i won’t spoil it! (laugh) But it really was just my family and friends and everyone not supporting me and giving me the love and support I deserve all these years. This is the only way to get it out.. you know?”
What type of music do you listen to?
FRQNZY & HAILSTACKZ “90s music” (Same time)
FRQNZY: “Okay in no order rap wise 90’s music, 2pac, eminem , dmx, Wutang,nas, mobb deep, lauryn hill Bone thugs n harmony, ! I actually went on tour with them and krayzie bone and i have a record coming out with him actually! New school, still Eminem, Kendrick, Jcole, Kahalini, Chris brown,Drake, august alsina, XXX, 90s few others ,ME (laughs)”
HAILSTACKZ: “No particulars, genre wise Rnb,Hip-hop,Alternative,Pop. ALL lol but I love Kahlani, SZA, Fuegio , Chris Brown, XXX,some of the soundcloud era music, some. But inspiration wise, hella 90’s asks Frqnzy i legit have over 2000 songs on my hard drive from all the years of datpiff, my mixtapez, lime wire days even!!! (laugh) So yes that will explain the diversity of my ear. And FRQNZY he’s like the best artist alive i tell him this everyone tells him this! Lyrically he is GOATED i can’t wait for him to enter the game and show these A listers they ain’t as dope as they think.”
FRQNZY: “Same, Hailstackz, Is the HOOK GOD. I believe he is going to have the award for the most guest appearances on songs! That’s why I let him showcase that on the album “Bipolar Love” so no one gets it messed up on who the goat is! Its our year 2DFRNT”
What inspires you to write music?
FRQNZY: “Experiences…yours and what’s going on around me. Politics, drama, family issues,heartbreaks, evolving spiritually all these things bring inspiration but my favorite is LOVE. LOVE is the greatest Frqnzy of all.”
HAILSTACKZ: “My pain, my family lack of support, the haters, the ones who just simply dont believe. But mine is the fans, being there for them the way X was for his fans sonically, not the negative more so of what he was becoming.”
What do you do when you don’t do music (creative or otherwise) and that you are passionate about?
FRQNZY “Being in nature, meditating, opening our third eye is key. On a mission to wake the souls. Bring love through sound to bring about balance.
What do you wish you were told when you first started making music that you think would help artists just starting out?
FRQNZY: “One day talent wont matter”.
HAILSTACKZ: “Who is the right person to spend ya money on marketing for.
Who won’t scam you”
FRQNZY: That part, everyone quick to say scared money don’t make money or artists scared to invest in their career but be out here scamming. That’s why I made my company we do everything EVERYTHING. Good Karma Music Group. Full blown music marketing label and firm.
