Anthony D Drops New Hit Single “Robbin Hoods”

Exclusive Interview: Anthony D

What is your name and what city do you rep?

Anthony D, Minneapolis

Tell us about your latest releases, what inspired you to create them?

The latest release is called “Robbin Hoods” this is the fifth year that we have done an annual Christmas music video that reps my city! Christmas is my jam… Why not hit it with some magic Anthony D style 🤷🏻‍♂️

What is unique about you and your music?

What makes my music unique is that? I don’t make it for the world… I make it for me. It’s really my expensive therapy.

What shaped your music?

My music constantly evolves… It creates energy… Every song I make speaks for a chapter in my life or something I was feeling at the moment.

When did you realize you were going to make music professionally?

Ever since I was 14 or 15 I’ve enjoyed making music and once I started building the foundation off of that, I knew it was never going to stop. What saved my music was my diverse lineup of legends… You will understand once the new album comes out called #TheHitList

What type of music do you listen to?

I’ve always listened to everything, anything goes, as long as it’s good music… Music makes you feel a certain type of way… I don’t care if it’s country, Bluegrass, hip-hop, East Coast, West Coast, jazz, or classical… I can enjoy good music at any time.

What inspires you to write music?

A lot of my inspiration comes from concepts for the video. Owning a professional video company open up the gates to just about anything. It inspires me to another can’t be any competition when you come so far out of left field.

What do you do when you don’t do music (creative or otherwise) and that you are passionate about?

When I’m not doing music, I’m filming or editing… I own a film company called Magic Film Maker, a Label called Magic Music, and a non profit called RockTheCities…for me, videography is for the money. Music is my labor of love.

Happiness to you is…

My happiness is being able to live my life doing things that I love with people I love.

What do you wish you were told when you first started making music that you think would help artists just starting out?

If I were going to hit em with some game, I’d say “Don’t bother making music if you’re in it for the money…. If your not doing it because it feeds your soul it will never matter”

Tell us about your upcoming projects…

My next big project is called #TheHitList this album where I give props and roses to some of my favorite, living legends.
