EA Sports Drops ‘FIFA 20’ Trailer & Announces Release Date

Complete with a ‘FIFA Street’ revivial.

After announcing gameplay details of the upcoming game recently, EA Sports has now released the full first trailer for FIFA 20. The new trailer for the latest installment in the hugely popular football series focuses on “VOLTA Football,” a new mode that appears to be a resurrection of FIFA Street, a street-football inspired series of games that last released in 2012.

Announcing the news of “VOLTA Football,” EA Sports added that the mode will allow you to “build your player, pick your gear, and express your style in football playgrounds all over the world.” The new gameplay mode will offer a range of customization options, as well as the ability to play 3v3, 4v4 and 5v5, along with a “Professional Futsal” setting. There will also be a special VOLTA Story Mode, that ends with a VOLTA World Championship set in Buenos Aires.

The new clip features gameplay footage both on a traditional pitch and in a street-inspired setting. The main player’s featured in the trailer are Raheem Sterling of Manchester City, and rising star Jadon Sancho of Borussia Dortmund. As well as “VOLTA Football,” other new features include increase football realism due to the “Football Intelligence” system, a new focus on “Decisive Moments” giving the player more control over set pieces, tackling and finishing and a “Ball Physics System” which will change the way you shoot and tackle.

Take a first look at FIFA 20 – and “VOLTA Football” — in the trailer above, and expect the new game from EA Sports to arrive on September 27, 2019.
