Coming straight out of New Orleans Louisiana rising Hip Hop artist DeezyUpNext is bringing a voice that is rooted in truth a raw form of storytelling he calls Reality Rap. His music is not about pretending or following the wave it is about speaking on real life challenges and the harsh environments that shaped him.
DeezyUpNext started making music at just 16 years old. Music was not just a hobby it became a way to carry on someone else’s dream. “I was inspired by my big brother” he shares. “It was always his dream. He went to prison for murder and I wanted him to live through me.” That mission and emotional drive continues to fuel every bar he writes today.
A Sound That Comes From Experience
While he does not play instruments DeezyUpNext is deeply influenced by artists who bring authenticity into their music. Kevin Gates stands as his closest influence another Louisiana native who built a career off heart pain and truth. That same energy lives in Deezy’s work.
His journey through the music industry has been anything but easy. He has faced real life problems dark moments and the politics of pursuing a career in rap. With every obstacle he has found new reason to push forward. That resilience is what makes his story relatable and powerful.
Music That Reflects the Streets and the Struggle
His latest project Duckin Indictments paints a vivid picture of the battles he has faced since his last release In The Name Of B. The project is gritty honest and transparent tapping into the good the bad and the ugly of everything that has molded him into the artist he is today.
“My story is what molded me to be the artist I am” he explains. “I give my point of view on things happening around me directly or indirectly. I want people to really see what I have lived.”
A Moment That Proved the Grind is Working
One of the biggest highlights of his career came during a trip to Los Angeles creating in the studio with the legendary Boosie Badazz. Boosie recorded a verse for their song Gettin To Da Money and the moment left a lasting mark.
“One of his crew told me he has not seen Boosie write a verse in over ten years” he says. “That meant he really felt the song and he gave a five star verse. It was epic.”
Moments like that remind him why the grind is worth it the respect the recognition and the chance to be heard.
What’s Next for DeezyUpNext
He is currently working on a new EP titled Rawer Than Nem a bold statement that reflects exactly how he feels about his skillset and storytelling. “I feel like there is not any artist rawer than me musically” he says confidently.
Next month in November he is hitting the stage to perform his single Go Off a high energy record that will appear on the EP. Fans can expect a release that hits harder than anything he has done before.
With every track DeezyUpNext proves he is exactly where he is supposed to be stepping into the spotlight with purpose hunger and a story people need to hear.
