Chicago’s RhymSter Previews Upcoming Project with Latest Single 'Waddup Rhymes'

RhymSter is well on his way to the top, and his latest track “Waddup Rhymes” proves just that.  The Chicago native has influences that range far and wide, and when incorporated into a single entity, his inspirations provide his audience with a unique listening experience; one that you won’t get anywhere else.

“My influences come from the variety of music and entertainment I was exposed to during my childhood and teenage years,” said RhymSter.  “It [includes everything] from 90s hip-hop to jazz to Motown to 80s music to Cuban and Mexican music.”

“As far as my hip-hop influences, there’s so many, but I would say the late 00’s to early 10’s Lil Wayne, Kanye West, Jay-Z, Kid Cudi, Kendrick, J. Cole, Mac Miller and Drake,” he added.

RhymSter’s latest track is the first single off his upcoming LP HotBox Sparrin’.  He’s going back to his roots on this album and honing in on a time when he really began to sharpen his skills and become the MC he is today.

“The inspiration behind the project goes back to my early days of rapping when I was riding around in my Honda Prelude and my Hyundai Sonata bumping my inspirations, instrumentals and freestyling for hours by myself or with friends while hotboxing my car with endless blunts and joints,” he said.  “It was during those times that…I developed my quick writing, new flows and ideas and [fed] my vision of how far I can take this.”

The man is clearly all in.  He’s got plenty of upcoming visuals shot by NFO FILMS and more music with producer Theisy.  And even though it’s full speed ahead with new releases, RhymSter is sticking to his guns and knows that the release of HotBox Sparrin’ will mark a new chapter in his artistic career.

“The day this project drops will be my resurrection day,” RhymSter said.  “I feel this project shed a layer off me and I grew a new one.  I feel like a brand new artist.”
