Born in Valdosta, Georgia and raised in Monticello, Florida, $chi Teaa carries the soul of the South in every note she sings and every bar she spits. A proud #LoBaby, her earliest memories are filled with music—harmonies floating through her home, gospel-filled Sundays in her 7-Day Adventist church choir in Quitman, Georgia, and a natural gift for performing that showed itself early. At just six years old, she recorded her first rap with her older brother and confidently uploaded it to YouTube, signaling a talent far ahead of her time.
Her journey took a new shape when she moved to Hartford, CT, where a growing wave of strong female artists inspired her to push harder. After graduating high school in 2020, she dedicated herself fully to her craft—writing relentlessly, polishing her flow, refining her image, and learning how to channel her emotions into powerful storytelling. Her pen grew sharper, her voice grew stronger, and her ambition grew louder.
By 2023–2024, $chi Teaa was hitting stages across NYC, Bridgeport, and Hartford, leaving her mark on every venue and building meaningful connections within the music scene.
