Chasey The Illest Shares Dynamic Hip-hop Single ‘Carry Me’

His first release since 2024, Chasey The Illest is back as he unveils his latest hip-hop track, ‘Carry Me’. The first teaser to be revealed from his forthcoming EP, the single paves the way for Chasey to be cemented as a fast-rising creative talent.

Jumping from flow to flow, ‘Carry Me’ offers an intrinsic insight into the artistry of Chasey’s artistry. With an intense, brooding first act, the track is made up of two distinctive parts – the first offering a raw, unfiltered commentary, with the second leaning into a smooth, R&B-laden melody. Penned as a retrospective confrontation of his past, the single shapes up to be a bold, emphatic body of work.

“I wrote ‘Carry Me’ as an honest reflection of my past, constantly questioning why I put myself through so much. Nearly every song, verse, and chorus I write is like a diary entry, and this one’s no different. It’s just me processing life in real time and inviting you to do the same, hoping that if you relate, you find some of the clarity or answers you’ve been searching for.”

Pushing forward as part of an ever-evolving hip-hop scene, Chasey The Illest is an artist who hails from the heart of Detroit, Michigan. Seamlessly blending raw storytelling with cinematic production, he crafts his tracks with a cut-throat honesty, exploring themes such as grief, purpose, self-doubt and survival. Moving through the ranks since he released his debut in 2015, he has received strong standout moments, including an On The Radar freestyle as well as a slot opening for Marlon Craft on his The Long Game Tour. Looking forward 2025, he prepares to release his latest EP.\
