Alabama’s Dope Official Is Up Next

Recently, there have been a rise in the Alabama artists to enter the hip hop industry. From Yung Bleu to Big Yavo; Alabama has become a great contender in rap community. One of these artists on the rise is Dope Official. Born and raised in Jackson, Alabama; a town located not far from Mobile, AL. According to Dope, “rap influences were the OG’s from my neighborhood, people like “Wild Hawg Records” “Bama Heat” DJ Ice D (RIP) and others were bosses in the streets.” Hip Hop always fascinated Dope and at age 15 he began rapping. Currently Dope has one album & 2 two mixtapes.

He is currently working on his new project titled “Lou Kanq Project 2”. According to Dope, his music reflects his life growing up in his community. “I came from the dirty south, half the people live in poverty.”  Dope gained popularity early in his career.  He is currently working with management label On Dummy Ent and he is a member on the independent music group “Mg$TheLabel”.  Dope claims he took of a full year in 2021 to learn the business more.

On Dummy Ent.’s CEO Eli On Dummy gave him some inspiration that charged him up. In May of this year, Dope released the single  “We The Ones” featuring his fellow label mate “$onny J”. This single is currently buzzing on all platforms.  Dope claims, “I feel like this year will be very special to me because of my work ethic we don’t have many opportunities where I’m from.”  His new project features artists such as “Tsar Paris , Pocahontas , B.Lang , $onny J , Ed Eazy & more upcoming Alabama artists.
