Ace Poetik Unveils New Single ‘Tears of a Melody’: A Story of Strength and Healing

Ace Poetik, a hip-hop artist and rapper from Louisville, Kentucky, defies categorization with his versatile style. His debut album, Deeper Than Most, released in 2020, showcases a diverse range of styles, from underground beats to trap to R&B-flavored melodies. Ace seamlessly adapts his flow to each genre, demonstrating his skill as a gifted storyteller and lyricist who understands the nuances of meter and tone.

Born into a musical family—his mother a talented singer and his grandfather a pianist and songwriter—Ace Poetik had a natural affinity for words. He was published at the age of ten, but his true passion was always music. Combining his talents, he began releasing music in 2020 and has enjoyed increasing success, with his most popular track, “Lost Souls,” amassing over 150,000 streams on Spotify.

Ace’s latest track, “Tears of a Melody,” is a deeply personal and meaningful piece that highlights his storytelling prowess. The song recounts the trauma he experienced in a car accident in 2023, with a riveting flow that draws listeners into his story.

This song came from a car accident that almost took my life. The wreck was a huge eye-opener for me. So yes, the song is sad, but there’s also motivation in its recipe. It’s a reminder that tomorrow is promised to no one, and if you have a dream, you should let nothing stop you from turning that dream into reality. It’s your dream for a reason. Only you can make it true,” Ace shares.

Set to a classic 90s R&B beat with haunting vocals backing him, Ace‘s verse evokes the chill and grainy quality of Warren G and Nate Dogg’s classic “Regulators.” However, the subject matter is far deeper. Ace not only recounts the accident but also offers an uplifting perspective, sharing the lessons he learned from the near-death experience and his journey of healing.

You have to learn to be selfish when you’re creating your forever. When you reach your lowest, God is resetting you to rebuild stronger. There’s a lesson in every situation. One thing every heart feels is pain. It’s not what you go through; it’s how you choose to get through it,” Ace explains.

Tears of a Melody” was released on the one-year anniversary of the wreck, July 4, and is available now on all major streaming platforms.
