As a music critic, I was fortunate enough to get an early listen to the newest musical project titled “Shenanigans & Antics” from Uptown Bronx native Ace Kang. Born and raised in NY, Ace Kang exudes a certain authenticity and pride in his hometown that shines through in his music. From the slang he uses to the “sauce” in his content, it’s clear that Ace Kang is deeply connected to his roots and represents Uptown to the fullest.
But it’s not just Ace Kang’s love for his hometown that makes him stand out as an artist. He is truly passionate about his craft, pouring his time and energy into honing his skills and perfecting his sound. It’s clear that Ace Kang values the opportunity to connect with his supporters and fans through his music, and he does so by putting himself in his listeners’ shoes and sharing parts of his own soul through his lyrics. The result is a cohesive and polished project that showcases Ace Kang’s unique sound and style.
