A Look Into Fokie Dope's Upcoming Single "Paupers"

Ralph Bourne professionally known as Fokie Dope is an independent hiphop artist making his name in the industry. His newest single “Paupers” is a song about his perspective at the bottom, and the energy it takes for him to climb back to the top. Detroit is full of paupers, which are basically very poor people, and Fokie doesn’t want to die as one. Fokie wants to change his life and career for the better.

Fokie Dope was inspired by music from a young age as his father hipped him to it when he was growing up. Music was always playing in his house, and he didn’t grow up with much money so his entertainment was putting time into arts to stay out of trouble. It was also a way to release how he felt and express his self, it was the only way he could release all his thoughts while keeping others listening.

His music isn’t just boring or false statements, but rather paints clear pictures and shows off a lot of realism. He keeps everything in his music the truth and he tries to get to the inner “hustler” in his audience, speaking to them and helping them get through anything. Fokie feels as if music is able to be applied to life, like beautiful landscapes and lyrics, that’s why it’s exactly what he provides.

With MTV & HipHopWeekly writing and acknowledging his music and his song “Money Women and BI” charting #2 on the upcoming 100 chart, he’s got much planned for this year. This year is all about growing his fanbase and hitting the road, doing as much shows as possible. He’s planning to release 3-4 singles a month and wants to release to his audience on a regular basis.
