21-Year-Old VIB Tackles Issues of Inequality and Racism with Powerful Single, "For Robert"

Rising artist VIB, at the young age of 21, takes a courageous stand against injustice in his latest single, “For Robert.” Addressing issues of inequality and racism, VIB uses his platform to shed light on the true story of an 18-year-old man, referred to as Robert, who was allegedly wrongly convicted due to the color of his skin and remains incarcerated on death row in his 40s.

The track, a poignant blend of R&B, rap, and spoken word, serves as a narrative canvas for Robert’s story. Set against a stripped-back trap beat, VIB‘s powerful vocals bring to life the harsh realities faced by those affected by systemic injustices.

To complement the release, VIB is unveiling a compelling music video on January 19th, providing a visual counterpart to the impactful message conveyed in “For Robert.” Premiere opportunities for the music video are eagerly welcomed.

In a statement about the release, VIB expresses his heartfelt connection to the subject matter: “This is a topic that is very close to my heart, and I wish to emphasize through this track that labels of race, color, and creed cause division and hurt, perpetuating an endless cycle of hate. Love is more natural to the heart and will light the way in any scenario. I will always strive against injustice of any kind, and this is the main point of my music—to be a voice for the silenced.

For Robert” is a powerful addition to VIB‘s repertoire, demonstrating his commitment to being a voice for change and using his influence to address societal issues.
