David Goversen, known by his artist name IcyDavy, is a Dutch music producer. He is known for producing “Wait For Me On Christmas”, by the English-speaking Dutch rapper, KVBA. The song conveys the joyous feeling of spending time with friends and family during the Christmas season. IcyDavy’s primary challenge was gaining recognition in the industry, but he persisted in pursuing his dream.
IcyDavy grew up in Tilburg and started producing music at thirteen when his parents gifted him a new keyboard and speakers to start his career as a music producer. IcyDavy discovered he was talented because he quickly learned the ins and outs of the FL Studio software. He created several beats influenced mainly by the music of American music producer, Scott Storch, who he listened to from an early age.
IcyDavy rose to recognition in 2020 during a live stream from rapper Kofi, an established volleyball star from Toronto, Canada, followed by world-famous artist, Drake. IcyDavy performed one of his beats for Kofi, who was amazed by the talent from a fourteen-year-old. Kofi and director Jai Shaun White from Las Vegas encouraged him to keep working on his music as he’d certainly be platinum by seventeen. Their feedback gave David the confidence boost to move on with producing beats.
IcyDavy is proud to have participated in the “Challenge The Loop ” event hosted by Dutch producer Renjiroo from the Dutch music label, QuatroVision, founded by Dutch artist Henkie T. The adjudicators were highly impressed by the beat IcyDavy produced with their sample. A couple of days later, IcyDavy performed his beats at an event in Amsterdam, Netherlands. It was an unforgettable performance, as everyone enjoyed his beats.
IcyDavy released his debut album, “Euphoria”, five months ago. He wants to give his fans a feeling of intense excitement and happiness when listening to his beats. IcyDavy’s music is available on all major music platforms around the world and is also available on all his social media platforms.
IcyDavy shares that you should explore different hobbies early enough as a way to prepare for the future. He also advises young and upcoming producers never to give up on their dreams. IcyDavy dreams of moving to Los Angeles, California as it will help him network with others from the music industry. “I want to create beats for world-famous artists, and I also want to visit the amazing music studios with high-quality equipment where I will spend most of my time. Besides that, Los Angeles has a great environment, and the vibe is immaculate,” IcyDavy adds.
IcyDavy has plans to start a clothing brand. His fans admire his mindset and have constantly asked him for merchandise when engaging with him on social media platforms. They want to express themselves with IcyDavy’s clothing brand because they find his music engaging, and they also want to share their passion for music globally.
